Hugh Johnson has more than 40 years of investment experience and he has been with Hugh Johnson Advisors since its inception in 1994. Previously he worked for more than 25 years at First Albany Corp., where he served as chief investment strategist and  chief economist. Hugh received an A.B. from Dartmouth College, an M.A. from Southern Methodist University and he has been awarded two honorary doctorate degrees. He is an adjunct professor at the Lally School of Business at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, serves as an economic advisor to the New York State Assembly Committee on Ways and Means, and serves on the Investment Advisory Committee for the New York State Common Retirement Fund.
